Equestrian statue of Stefan cel Mare is located in the square Stefan cel Mare, in front of the Palace of Culture in Iasi. Creation was unveiled in 1883, in the presence of King Charles I and was created by French sculptor Emmanuel Fremiet. The desire to erect a statue portraying the great prince dating from 1856.
