The Park Carol I is called also Park or Liberty too .Carol Park is a park located in sector 4 of Bucharest on Filaret's Hill. Carol Park was developed between 1900-1906 after the plans of the French landscape architect Eduard Redont and was inaugurated in 1906 to celebrate the 40-year reign of King Carol I.
Carol Park area has originally 36 hectares and 2 hectares of the total area was arranged in a small lake. The park includes a dominant landscape side, where the entire green space is located around Central Alley.
The park contains in the beginning several exhibition pavilions and buildings annexed. According to plans drawn up by Stefan Burcus, Victor G. Stefanescu and I. Berindei a water tower were built and called Dracula's Castle at the time.
In front of the Palace of Fine Arts, called now the Military Museum since 1938 (the year the palace caught fire and was demolished after the earthquake of 1940), was built by architects a large waterfall that exist even today.
