Szék Palace is located on Ferdinand Street 37, Cluj-Napoca.
What this highlights the apparent building blocks which are wrapped wall surfaces. As the architectural detail of this sightseeing, it is worth noting that the blind arches, frames, and the friezes of the levels below the cornice are carved in stone
It is a neo-Gothic building, erected on the Somes River in 1893, the pharmacist and Professor Tibor Szék. Tibor Szék was a famous pharmacist and chemist of Cluj, who lived in 1879-1950. He studied in Berlin, under the direction of chemist Karl Liebermann, which in turn was a pupil of Adolf von Baeyer (Nobel Prize winner for chemistry in 1905).
Szék then returned as an assistant professor at the University of Cluj, and later was also rector of the university. Shadows of the old Professor spiterii still exists as furniture and decorations that were stored in Pearl pharmacy downstairs. Szék Palace houses several residential apartments. Downstairs there are several shops including a pharmacy.
