Muzeul Teatrului Iasi - Cazare lângă Muzeul Teatrului Iasi, Judetul Iasi Theatre Museum is located in Iasi Alecsandri street, no. 5, in the U.S.. It was inaugurated on 14 December 1976, the celebration of 160 years since the first theatrical representation in Romanian. The building in which it is based, is the childhood Alecsandri theatrical phenomenon and shows the evolution from ancient times until today. Museum focuses on presenting the highlights of the past theater Iasi. It can be noticed that the permanent exhibition is held in the new rooms which have: a collection of theatrical posters from the beginning of the Iasi National Theatre, a collection of theater programs for different seasons of the National Theater in Iasi, volumes of the theater (the old editions, among which Mirtil Hloe and printed in 1850).
