Lupa Capitolina Monument is a statue depicting the legendary founders of Rome, the brothers Romulus and Remus, suckled by a wolf. Rome Statue of the founding legend plays, that the two brothers who founded the city and were cared for by a wolf.
Lupa Capitolina Monument is located in Victoria Square in downtown Timisoara. Unveiling of the monument took place on 23 April 1926. Currently over 10,000 people attended and various local and international personalities: Vasile Goldis Sagovici Samuel (mayor of the time), Gregory Trancu (religious minister) and the chief delegates of the Italian State, Benito Mussolini.
Lupa Capitolina Monument is a gift made by the municipality of Timisoara city of Rome, the symbol that unites the two peoples latinity. The statue is placed on a pedestal 4.96 m. high.
