Metropolis Iasi
Metropolis Iasi is ranked second and fifteenth century church was built XVII.A following a decree made by Prince Sandu Sturdza, August 8, 1826. A church raising was done during the Metropolitan Veniamin Costache, between 1833-1839.
Freywald and Bucher Architects have contributed mostly to the achievement of Metropolitan. Unfortunately, due to loss of central vault until 1880 the church was left in ruins. Then, in Metropolitan Joseph Naniescu works were recovery that lasted until 1887, after Alexander Orascu architect.
Metropolitan Cathedral consecration took place on 23 April 1887 in the presence of King Charles I.Two years later, the church was brought from Three Hierarchs Church, the shrine with relics Parascheva, protector of Moldavia, whose celebration on October 14, Fri hundreds of thousands of pilgrims from the country and abroad.
