With the financial support of the European Union by 2009 extensive works were carried Turda Salt planning, tourism and curative purposes (investment of approximately 6 million euros).
Turda Salt Mine is included in the list of Historic Monuments in Cluj County, prepared by the Ministry of Culture in Romania in 2004.
Sightseeing and machinery are well preserved medieval mine (unique in Europe), such as blacksmithing, crivacul and salt mill. Also, the altar (carved in the wall of salt) and the rich scale (a scale worked watermark in wood).
