Retezat National Park is located west of the Carpathians, stretching over an area of about 8000 hectares of Mountain Retezat Godeanu, Hunedoara county.
Retezat National Park is also known as "land with blue eyes, is the largest nature reserve in our country, monument, recognized internationally as a Biosphere Reserve, covering an area of 20,000 hectares, situated in the South
western county of Hunedoara.
In Retezat glaciatiei is the old trail, with dozens of glaciers, some of whom were over 10 km, numerous debris and moraines often dressed jnepeni dwarf forest.

One of the most spectacular is the path of joy and Zanoaga.
Gate Taul, Taul Agat, Florica, Viorica, Ana Lia string on the southern slope of the county lord, and "bucket" is formed between the Judge and Peleaga dominated joy, spread the glacial lake in Romania (about 9 hectares).

.Access Retezat National Park is accessible from two directions:
